Chariya Khattiyot, the MasterChef 2023 winner and an Alton coffee shop owner, will make her professional cookery debut at the Bolton Food and Drink Festival over the August bank holiday weekend.
She will join a line-up including Gok Wan, Mowgli Street Food’s Nisha Katona, Saturday Kitchen chef James Martin and Michael Caines, who has held two Michelin stars for 18 consecutive years.
Chariya will host a free cookery demonstration with a Northern Thai menu on August 26 at 1pm in Bolton’s Town Hall Square, with a dedicated stage that will be transformed into an outdoor industrial kitchen.
She said: “I want to show the world that Northern Thai food is amazing.”
