IT was lights, camera, action at Frensham Little Pond as film crews set up over the weekend.

Sources have told The Herald that a new Netflix series was being filmed, rumoured to be called ‘The Innocent’.

It was only a short visit though, as the crews had left by Tuesday.

The main car park was shut for three days with “no notice” from land-owners the National Trust, say neighbouring residents.

Priory Lane resident Paul Murray said this caused “more congestion and misery for locals as visitors park on roads and driveways to walk around the pond”.

Mr Murray has had similar problems in the past as he continued: “I have over the years been unable to access my property, been threatened when asking people to move cars, had all sorts of abuse and damage to my car while trying to navigate.

“The police should enforce this (the lane is marked as a clear way) but don’t have the resources to do so and it’s left to a few locals to deal with a very powerful and uncaring large charity.”

Last summer, there were also complaints about the damage caused to the footpaths at the pond due to horse riders and filming.

It was said by a resident at the time that the paths were “eroding at a massive rate”.
