FERNHURST Centre courses have been boosted by a timely Tesco Bags of Help to the tune of £1,000.

Haslemere Tesco community fundraiser Anita Cumber presented the cheque to Antonia Plant, Camilla Campbell and Pauline Colcutt.

Antonia said: “The Tesco grant couldn’t have come at a better time.

“The centre intends to spend the money on an upgrade to its projector and educational equipment used in the language and other courses taught here in small groups all year round. Numbers for our free topical talks have increased hugely and we are planning further talks on art and historical subjects.”
