The Missy Nelson band received a warm welcome at the first of this year’s ‘Music in the Meadow’ concerts.

The four-piece band played a variety of songs which appealed to all musical tastes.

Lead Member for Community and Culture Cllr Kika Mirylees said: “It was great to see so many people and we have a marvellous line-up this year which includes established and up and coming musicians.

“There are also some special, extended concerts planned which include Farnham Folk Day, Young Artists’ Showcase and World Music Day. Please come along and experience it for yourself!”

The charity tea tent was run by 40Degreez, which is one of the mayor’s charities. The concerts are free to the public, thanks to principal sponsors Kidd Rapinet and Shaw Gibbs.

They take place every Sunday throughout the summer from 3pm to 5pm at Gostrey Meadow. Full programme is online at www.farnham.gov.uk
