WAVERLEY Borough Council has awarded its new grounds maintenance contract to Continental Landscapes Ltd.
One of the UK’s leading grounds maintenance companies, it has signed a
£1 million-a-year contact, set to run for five years, with an option to extend for a further two terms.
The contract will cover all Waverley Borough Council owned and maintained parks and green spaces, including cemeteries, sport pitches, playgrounds and skate parks, as well as highway verges and housing areas.
Councillor David Beaman, Waverley Borough Council portfolio holder for health, wellbeing and culture, said: “We are delighted to be working with Continental, a company that has extensive experience of delivering grounds maintenance to local authorities. The new contract will save money while delivering significant service improvements.
“While we look forward to the future, I’d also like to thank Glendale for providing an excellent service to Waverley over the past 14 years.”
