LIPHOOK’S first two food markets have been blessed with sunshine and attracted a host of new customers to the Millennium Centre.

Held in conjunction with the monthly village market, visitors could enjoy hot food from the Burita Van and Nepalese delicacies from the Grayshott Gurkha Durbar as well as tea, coffee and cakes while making use of the outdoor seating area on the terrace.

Millennium Centre manager Karen Feeney said: “We were delighted to see so many people visiting and enjoying the markets and are hoping to increase the number of stalls as well adding more to the outdoor space.

“We would love to hear from other stall holders for our future monthly market days, having received some positive feedback already.”

New stalls included the popular Liphook Bakery, which offered a range of freshly baked artisan bread, Fruityfoods’ handmade chutneys, jams and marmalades, which complemented products by the Busy Bee Honey Farm.

Village market regulars offered a choice of goods from bespoke quilt work greeting cards, jewellery, handmade children’s clothes to cartoons and character drawings.

The next market is on Saturday, May 21. To get involved, call Karen on 01428 723889.
