PUPILS returning to Rowledge Primary School next week will not just be saying hello to the new school year - they will also be welcoming their new headteacher.

Clare Painter takes up the reins in her first headship, having worked as the deputy headteacher at South Farnham School for the last three years. She takes up the post left by former head Pamela Cunningham-Christie, who died in May.
