A FARNHAM couple met MPs at the House of Commons on Tuesday to back the 'no win, no fee' civil claims system that allowed them to take on Frimley Park Hospital over a catalogue of blunders.

Former scientist Colin Freeman, now 46, was left paralysed and with a serious brain injury after being admitted with pneumonia in 2004.

For years the hospital denied all responsibility and it was only in 2010, with help from solicitors acting on a 'no win, no fee' basis, that he won compensation for clinical negligence in an undisclosed sum.
