PINEWOOD village hall has closed after managers said it was “not viable”.
A spokesman for East Hampshire District Council, which owns the building, said: “Pinewood village hall has served the community well for a number of years as a happy home for many town groups. Unfortunately, it is no longer in a condition befitting a facility that can be used by all members of the community, including older people and children.
“There is still capacity in other facilities around the town to accommodate the groups and clubs that were using Pinewood hall.
“No plans are in place. The district council will be considering options.”
The Whitehill and Bordon Community Association added: “After several years of managing the hall, it became not viable and we had to tell the district council that we no longer could continue. There were only four users and I know that at least three of them have relocated.”
