A ROW has erupted in Petersfield over the proposed sale of town council-owned land for housing development.

The proposed sale of the 10 acres of land, consisting of two fields, known as Pennsfield at the rear of homes in Heathfield and Barnfield Roads, estimated to be worth in excess of £4M, is to be dated at a special open town council meeting.
