PUPILS at Badshot Lea Village Infant School were thrilled to receive a ceramic otter from the Farnham Hedgehogs on Thursday last week.
The delivery was part of the Otter Wey project, an initiative to create a walking trail in and around Farnham to celebrate the return of otters to the River Wey.
Pupils at the school will now have the chance to decorate their otter before the trail is assembled during May and June.
“We’re very excited to be taking part in the project and we’re very grateful to the Hedgehogs for the otter,” said headteacher Gemma Ball.
She added: “The children are all very excited to pick a name and choose ideas for decoration.”
