PSCO Philip Snow from Waverley was among officers, staff and members of the public recognised for their acts of bravery, professionalism and long service at the Chief Constable’s Commendation Ceremony at Guildford Cathedral.

Phil (pictured right), who joined Surrey Police in June 2010, was awarded ‘PCSO of the Year’ for his outstanding dedication and commitment to the role.

Since joining the force he has built good relationships with partners and has an excellent knowledge of the borough.

It was only recently that PCSO Snow played an important role in helping the team with a burglary campaign, preparing briefing reports on burglaries in the borough to update the team each morning.

He also recently played a leading role for the team in liaising with partner agencies to provide support to vulnerable victims of fraud.

Philip has been quoted by others as an “outstanding coach and, while he encourages others to give ideas, he is always keen to learn and further himself.

“He is an asset to the team, regularly going beyond expectations”.
