VOLUNTEERS are needed to help run a peer support group for people facing depression and anxiety in Bordon.

Mental health charity PeerTalk offers support to anyone over the age of 18 living with depression or anxiety through a network of peer support groups.

The groups are led by fully-trained volunteers and offer a safe place for people to share as much or as little as they wish.

Rosa Trelfa, from PeerTalk, said: “The strength of these peer support groups lies in the fact that the support offered comes from others who have a lived experience of depression, who understand, who will not judge, and who can offer help from their own experience.”

Volunteers are now being sought to facilitate the group, with full training offered and ongoing training and support once the volunteering starts.

A training day for new PeerTalk volunteers will be held on Saturday (November 30) at the Old Thorns Hotel in Liphook.
