Gostrey Meadow will host a meat and greet this weekend as a sizzling event that combines fun, cider and sausages is returning to Farnham.

There will plenty for visitors to sink their teeth into at Farnham Fest this Saturday with the Lions-organised event incorporating a cider and sausage festival.

The annual event will include the Wright’s Lion Brewery main bar boasting a wide selection of real ales, beers, wines, spirits and prosecco.

There will be a cider bar offering Misty Moon Cider and Beetle Juice cocktails in addition to a great range and many street food options.

The festival celebrates the best of what Farnham has to offer with entry including live entertainment and a vote in the competition to crown the town’s finest banger.

Four fantastic local butchers will compete for the coveted Lion President Sausage of the Festival award with their ‘Best British Banger’ submissions.

The current holders are Kellwood & Co of Squire’s Garden Centre but they face hot competition from Morgan’s on the Ridgeway, Hands of Rowledge and Farnham Family Butchers.

The Lions BBQ will also cook up sausages provided by the four butchers with the winner being chosen by a public vote.

Visitors will find plenty of other street food options along with a pancake shack, vegetarian and vegan options and stalls offering coffee and ice cream.

Adult tickets are priced at £15 but kids can go for free but must still book for health and safety reasons.
