Final preparations are being made for the trial of a Bordon woman accused of murdering her mother.

Bronwyn Jones is due to stand trial at Portsmouth Crown Court on November 25 – some 18 months after her 44-year-old mother, Anna Jones, was found dead in a flat on Station Road in Petersfield.

The 26-year-old defendant of Jacaranda Road has admitted to killing her mother but denies murder, as she pleaded guilty last December to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

The court date was confirmed by a judge on Monday with the trial expected to take around a week, while no witnesses are likely to be called.

Parties involved in the case have also agreed to take part in a final two-hour plea and case management hearing on Thursday, October 17.

It is not clear whether Bronwyn, who has also been called Anarlin during previous hearings, will attend the trial in person.
