Alongside the grown-up attractions of Michael Ball, Tim Peake, Isabella Tree and Philippa Gregory, the Petworth Festival Literary Week is also welcomng three authors familiar to children to Leconfield Hall in Petworth.
Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho will be there on October 28 at 11am. He inspires readers aged seven to 11 through stories and characters they can recognise, exploring fear, courage, diversity, gratitude, empathy and loss.
Andrew Pettie is appearing on October 28 at 2pm. The author of Encyclopedia Infographia will head a quiz answering some big questions. Find out which animal can leap 200 times its body length; learn how many cups of snot your body makes a day; compare the sizes of the biggest beasts that have ever lived; witness what happens in a single second across the world.
On November 2 at 10.30am Lucy Reynolds will lead a fun interactive workshop for those aged four and above, celebrating how children grow up across the planet and the journey we take to find our place in the world.
