A charity has received a late Christmas present from the organisers of a festive event in Farnham.

The season of goodwill shows no sign of ending at St Thomas on the Bourne as they’ve handed over a £6,000 cheque to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

The £6,000 raised through the church’s first Christmas Market in five years could cover the cost of nearly seven weeks’ care for an In-Patient Unit nurse.

“We were so pleased to see St Thomas on the Bourne’s wonderful Christmas market return and are very grateful to the organisers,” said Samantha West, lead community fundraiser at the charity.

The market attracted around 400 people with Greg Stafford MP and mayor, Cllr Brodie Mauluka, among the visitors.
