Brightwells Yard finally has a new addition as Reel Cinema no longer stands alone in the new development.

Things are slowly moving at the Crest Nicholson site as the award-winning Pilates Movement Studio opened at 9am last Saturday in Unit 7 of the Old Market Place building.

The studio was packed despite the early start with dozens of guests turning up for the hour-long opening session.

There were also familiar faces as visitors to their other studios in Guildford and Godalming checked out the new premises.

The studio is open to all and specialises in dynamic reformer pilates, while its machine can be adapted to help beginners ease into something new or make it harder for those with more experience.

The machine consists of a sliding carriage, equipped with adjustable springs, pulleys, straps, and a foot-bar.

The studio’s inaugural customers were greeted by owners Jeff and Jane Waters with the pair hosting classes throughout the day.

The pair said they are “very excited to be opening” after a long wait to get hold of the unit with new neighbours in the offing.

There’s some more good news as Crest Nicolson has handed over the retail properties on the site and AS retail has confirmed the development has reached practical completion.

Shoppers can expect movement in late October and early November with Pirates Landing, Jetts Gym and Monte Fiorte Pizza anticipating autumn opening dates,

Cinema-goers will have to choose between pizza and piri piri as the two restaurants will take residency next to Reels.
