A special needs school in Farnham will be serving up a fundraising treat later this month to raise money for a new playground for its pupils.
Story-telling, live music, delicious food and much more will be on the menu when Ridgeway School holds a Summer BBQ lunch on Sunday, June 22.
The event from 12midday to 4.30pm at Woodstock Old Park Lane will feature tea, cakes, coffee, raffles, face painting, children's storytelling and fun activities for visitors of all ages.
Farnham’s new town mayor, Brodie Mauluka, will also make a noteworthy appearance as his band, Brobie Stils, will play a varied range of music from Motown, soul, blues, reggae and rumba to African sounds and township.
The school is over halfway to meeting its fundraising target of £475,000 and aims to meet its target this summer as they want to have the new playground completed by next year.
