POLICE seized a stash of illegal drugs in a raid on a house just metres from William Cobbett Primary School on Friday. October 16,

Eyewitnesses saw officers descend on the house at the junction of Newcome Road and Courtenay Road in Weybourne at around 9am.

Several police cars accompanied by colleagues from Surrey Fire and Rescue remained at the scene until mid-afternoon on Friday.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “Surrey Police conducted a search warrant in the Weybourne area of Farnham on Friday, October 16, under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

“A small quantity of controlled drugs was seized and enquiries are on-going.

“Officers requested the assistance of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service at the location to ensure the scene was safe.”
