I STUDIED at Brighton Polytechnic – simultaneously serving two years in the Territorial Army – graduated in 1972 with BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Data Processing, and spent my working life designing, installing and servicing information systems for the manufacturing industry.

I am a (retired) member of both the British Computer Society and the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, I have lived in Petersfield since 1989, and I joined the UK Independence Party in 2006 (the clue is in the name). Since then I have campaigned for UKIP in the majority of by-elections, have contested local elections since 2010, and I currently chair our UKIP branch in East Hampshire.

I enjoy selected YouTube channels, cycling and undertaking new challenges. England was once described by John Bright in 1865 as ‘the mother of parliaments’. Alas, this year we have looked on in disbelief as our own elected MPs have conspired to deny the democratic result of our European Union referendum in 2016, tearing up long-established precedent and procedure as convenient, and imploding the reputation of our institutions of government and our primary political parties.

We must conclude our cherished democracy itself is under concerted attack.

I stand firm for the full and prompt restoration of the unencumbered freedom and independence of our great nation, the United Kingdom; and for the personal freedoms and protections of the individual our people traditionally enjoyed.
