THE National Trust will introduce new parking charges at Frensham Little Pond later this month.

From July, visitors to the beauty spot will have to pay a flat rate of £4. The fee will not apply to people with a National Trust membership.

Disgruntled dog walkers have taken to social networking websites to complain of the fees, with some claiming to be looking for alternative locations rather than pay the extra cost. Others have welcomed the charge, saying it will prevent over-crowding at the site and help to fund its upkeep.
