THE ‘eco council’ of St Andrew’s Infant School took a stroll to the school’s allotment to help plant out a new pond.

They were joined by wildlife photographer Heather Angel who taught the children that certain plants prefer different depths in ponds.

The pupils also were excited to see tadpoles, beetles and baby newts enjoying their new environment, and enjoyed the short walk to the allotment through Bishop’s Meadow - blowing a few dandelion clocks along the way!
