HASLEMERE Community Rugby Club played host, for the third year running, to the tri-Counties tournament at Woolmer Hill sports ground.
Festival highlight was a visit from Harlequins player Charlie Matthews who toured the age groups and met all the team members.
Teams from Cranleigh, Bognor, Farnham and Petersfield took part and around 1,000 junior players and families enjoyed a fun morning of rugby and touchline socialising.
“This is Haslemere Rugby Club’s annual tournament and the numbers attending this year were the highest ever,” deputy chairman Ged Hall said.
“It was really great to see so many young players having a brilliant day at the club, and having a 6ft 4ins Harlequin player to give them tips and encouragement was just the icing on the cake.”
