A FARNHAM father who brutally attacked his estranged partner, committed suicide by stepping onto a train track, a coroner has found.

David Standing, a 46-year-old local scrap metal worker and motorbike enthusiast, suffered fatal neck and chest injuries on the morning of June 8 after he was hit by a train between Bentley and Farnham.

It came less than an hour after he stabbed the mother of his two children, Selina Rankin, in his home in Bardsley Drive, Wrecclesham.
