REEL Cinema has revealed the five most-watched films at its new Farnham ‘mini-plex’ since opening in early February.
A spokesperson for the family-fun chain said Farnham remains the number one cinema across the REEL circuit a month-and-a-half after its grand opening – outperforming sites with more seats and screens.
And the following five movies have pulled in Farnham’s cinema-goers more than any others, ranked in order of admissions:
- Migration (U)
- Dune: Part Two (12A)
- Bob Marley: One Love (12A)
- Wicked Little Letters (15)
- Wonka (PG)
All of the above are still playing at REEL Farnham. Book tickets here: https://reelcinemas.co.uk/reel-cinemas
REEL has also been testing the market, and has found there is an audience for a wide range of titles beyond the above mainstream successes.
Its Brightwells Yard mini-plex is therefore the only cinema in the REEL circuit to also have shown the following non-mainstream, awards-friendly indie/arthouse titles:
- Anatomy of a Fall
- The Zone of Interest
- The Taste of Things
- American Fiction
True to its word, REEL has also been busy building relationships in the Farnham community.
In the last two months, it has:
- Supported the Farnham Literary Festival with adverts on-screen, in the cinema lobby and the actual cinema screens.
- Worked with the University of the Creative Arts on various projects, including plans for public screenings of upcoming releases with Q&As with the filmmakers.
- This week it hosted its first exclusive morning screening for members of the University of the Third Age (U3A), with 170-plus people attending the coffee morning and screening.
