Drivers in and around Waverley will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm January 6 to 6am January 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound, Longmoor to Milford, carriageway closure for roadmarkings renewal.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M3, from 9pm January 20 to 6am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 5, slip road closure for drainage works.

A3, from 8pm January 27 to 6am January 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Thursley to Milford, Lane closure for maintenance work.

A3, from 9pm January 27 to 6am January 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance.

A3, from 8pm January 28 to 6am February 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 both directions Longmoor to Hogs Back, carriageway closure for surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
