Shoppers would be Christmas crackers to miss a festive event in Farnham town centre this weekend.

Farnham’s Christmas Market will returns on Sunday, December 8 with more than 150 independent stalls around Castle Street, The Borough and the Ivy lane Club.

Castle Street and The Borough will be closed to traffic because of the market and diversions will be in place.

Shoppers will find everything from chutneys to Christmas gifts and decorations on sale with the showpiece taking place from 10am to 4pm.

Visitors can also expect street food and great entertainment with local bands and musicians performing around the town centre throughout the day.

There will plenty of fun and entertainment lined up the kids with a mini fairground in town and a certain visitor from the North Pole taking up residence in a grotto. So make sure you’ve got a Christmas list.

Waverley’s pay and display car parks will also be free to park in this Sunday.
