Santa's grotto was a very busy place during the Alton School Christmas Fayre on December 2.

The event arranged by the school’s PTFA included stalls featuring reindeer hoopla, home-made jam, tombolas and Christmas puddings.

But the highlight was Santa’s grotto. Following a grand entrance by Santa, Mrs Claus and their elves, to carol singing and a playground full of lower school children, families each had their own visit to meet Santa and get gifts.

Money raised by this Alton School tradition will go to PTFA projects and Phyllis Tuckwell.
