A drug dealer was found with cocaine in his underwear after officers followed their nose in Farnham.
Suleyman Rajab was found concealing the Class A drug after his high-performance VW Golf at a local petrol station caught the attention of eagle-eyed officers.
The lure of out-of-county numberplates and a strong smell of cannabis emanating from the vehicle led to a search and the discovery of drugs and a County Lines link.
Officers found a packet of cannabis, cash and a large container which smelt of the drug while messages on the driver’s mobile phone revealed his involvement with the supply of Class A substances.
The latter led police to fellow dealer Mohammed Miah with the pair being subsequentially jailed for their part in drug dealing around the Surrey hinterland.
Guildford Crown Court heard Rajab was arrested and taken into custody where a package containing wraps of suspected crack cocaine was found stuffed in his underwear during a search.
The 26-year-old of Hackney pleaded guilty to all offences after being charged with intent to supply crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of both drugs.
He was handed a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, while Miah later appeared at the same court after his connections with the same County Lines gang came to light.
The 28-year-old from Walthamstow was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin and was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to both offences.
PC Matt Webb said West Surrey’s Proactive CID is always working to identify and dismantle organised crime networks and supply lines coming into Surrey.
He added: “lf anyone has information or concerns regarding the supply or use of drugs in their local area, please come forward and report it to us so we can continue building up our intelligence.”
