A SCHOOLGIRL has died after the car she was travelling in on the A31 between Farnham and Alton hit a tree on Monday evening.

It is believed the 11-year-old girl, who has not yet been formally identified by police, was a year six pupil at Bentley Primary School.

Police were called at around 7.35pm to the scene of the crash, one mile west of the Coxbridge roundabout near the Farnham House Hotel.
