SCHOOLS across the Farnham area were expected to be disrupted today because of industrial action by teachers over pay and pensions.

Almost 100 schools in Surrey were expected to suffer full or partial closures, including Weydon School and All Hallows School in Farnham, as a result of the strike.

But others, such as Farnham Heath End School and many infant, junior and primary schools in the Farnham area, managed to stay open despite the disruption.
