Shalden Village Fete broke its fundraising record this year by generating £4,500 for local charities.

The beneficiaries were Cardiac Rehab, St Michael’s Hospice, Naomi House and Jacksplace, We are Macmillan, The Alton League of Friends Hospital and Community, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, St Peter and Paul Shalden Church, Shalden Village Hall and Alton Men’s Shed.

Accepting the big cheque from fete committee member Ian Champness were Louise Gough of St Michael’s Hospice, Lisa Henshaw of Cardiac Rehab, Margaret Warren of the Alton League of Friends, Cynthia Buchanan of St Peter and Paul Shalden Church and Mark Ommanney of Shalden Village Hall.
