ST Andrew’s Infant School pupils enjoyed a novel take on an Advent calendar before the Christmas holidays.
Everyday they opened a message and received a treat - from wearing Christmas hats to making snowflakes and from Christmas cooking to a whole school walk to Farnham Park.
The children were given three rules: to follow all instructions, keep safe and have fun.
While they walked around the park they thought about winter; the children were asked to look at the trees, what was on the ground and what the weather was like.
On the way back the children spotted St Andrew’s Church and the roof of the school.
Pupils enjoy these ‘learning adventures’ and the school is now looking forward to welcoming many more pupils to be part of the St Andrew’s community.
As application closing date is near, St Andrew’s School will be having another open morning for prospective parents and their children to see St Andrew’s in action and meet the staff on Thursday, January 12, from 9.30am to 11.30am.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
