STELLAR Gymnastics’ Silver Team are over the moon after walking away with gold at their recent Grades Practice Competition in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

The competition, held at The Gym Club Kent, was a practice event for the National Development Pathway Grades taking place last weekend at Guildford Spectrum.

Gymnasts from all over the south east regions entered the competition. The Farnham-based club entered gymnasts in grades six, five, four, three and one. For many it was the biggest competition they’ve done and certainly the furthest away.

“All our gymnasts showcased great performances which is a great confidence boost on the way to the real thing,” said Hannah Fox, head of Stellar Gymnastics.

“Our regional grade gymnasts had an exceptional time and at club grade six Isabelle Boow came seventh overall.”

Josie Craddock came fifth and Imogen Gibson came third in their age group at grade four, while the club’s grade four Silver Team comprising Josie Craddock, Imogen Gibson, Marissa Newell and Tilly Smith took home the gold for the team competition.

At grade three, Riva Owen was awarded the Beam Artistry award out of everyone at the competition and stealing first place at grade one was Sophie Brewer.

Hannah added: “We are incredibly proud of the hard work and determination our girls have shown in the run up to taking their grades, and we were over the moon that this hard work was recognised and rewarded at the Practice Competition in Kent.

“We wish all our gymnasts the very best of luck for the real thing at the Spectrum. They all deserve to pass with flying colours.”
