STAFF at Tesco Express in The Ridgway celebrated the stores reopening with a cheque presentation of £250 to The Ridgeway Community School in Farnham.
The convenience store, which had closed for over a fortnight for refurbishment, now boasts an entirely new interior layout and floor.
Tina Pearson, of Tesco Express, said: “Eight children from The Ridgeway School came along and our store manager, Tracey Clayton-Chile, presented them all with goodie bags and a cheque for £250.
“We had a couple of staff out the front handing out mince pies and cake. We always try and support the local community, in the past we have supported the breakfast club at the school and we always support Highfield South Farnham’s summer fair.
“The store has received brilliant feedback, the customers are very happy with the outcome. One end has become wider, it’s warmer, brighter and generally bigger. It just looks so much nicer.
“The front of the shop has also been refurbished and painted, it was about time, it needed refurbishing for a long time – it’s lovely to work here with the new look.”
