CHIDDINGFOLD’S St Mary’s Primary School staged its own royal wedding celebrations ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day last Saturday.
Village rector the Rev Sarah Brough officiated at St Mary’s on Friday, when two year five pupils volunteered to be the happy royal couple in a mock wedding enjoyed by all the pupils and PTA members.
Pupils also competed to design the best wedding hat and wedding cake, with members of Chiddingfold Women’s Institute selecting the winning cake entries.
St Mary’s wedding celebrations concluded with a tea party for the whole school joined by members of the parent teacher association (PTA) and Chiddingfold WI.
