Motorists can expect even more delays getting into Farnham for at least the next week as a key road has been closed for emergency work.
There was traffic chaos around Wrecclesham and south Farnham yesterday (Tuesday, October 2) as the A325 south of the Coxbridge roundabout was closed.
Traffic was diverted via Weydon Lane with some drivers reporting journey times of 45 minutes to cross town and congestion also building on Station Hill and Firgrove Hill.
The road could be closed until October 14 while Thames Water carries out emergency excavations on the road to repair and replace a badly damaged sewer pipe.
The work will concentrate on a six-metre section of 150mm pipe with a permit being granted for the work.
Motorists have been advised to add extra time to their journey getting into Farnham with congestion expected on Weydon Lane, especially during the morning and evening rush hour.
