WAVERLEY Borough Council was in the process of issuing legal proceedings against an illegal caravan incursion in Central car park, Farnham as the Herald went to press on Wednesday afternoon.
Four caravans arrived at the car park in the centre of town on Tuesday and were served with a court summons on Wednesday, having failed to depart at 5pm the previous evening as indicated to council enforcement officers.
The summons requested the individuals appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning, where the council will seek “an Order for Removal with immediate effect”.
It comes after Waverley visited the car park on Tuesday, undertook welfare checks and delivered wheelie bins “as a preventative measure”.
