UCA has partnered with the Farnham Maltings Creative Business Programme to provide mentoring support.
The partners recently held a a breakfast get together hosted by UCA to allow programme members to converse with mentors. The programme provides business support and training to 30 small creative businesses in Waverley, with expert talks, workshops and mentoring from 16 volunteers.
Including experienced artists, entrepreneurs, professionals from the galleries and museums sector and UCA staff.
It is funded by the UK governments' UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) which, aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
Waverley has allocated its £1 million UKSPF towards key projects in deprived areas of the borough. Selected project receive funding for up to two years.
Local projects include Hale Community Centre - Adult Support and Farnham Maltings (Craft incubator).
