THE pupils at Lord Wandsworth College at Long Sutton, near Odiham, have had a colourful experience - literally!
The occasion, on September 8-9, was the third annual Colour Run, which raised more than £1,200 for St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke.
A college spokesman said: “The Colour Run is always a fantastic way for everyone to start the school year on a high. It consists of a two-and-a-half kilometre route around the school grounds while enthusiastic volunteers throw armfuls of brightly coloured powder at those taking part.
"The Colour Run has become a real tradition at Lord Wandsworth College and is a great event for all involved, even the occasional pet!”
More than 350 children took part in the event and the charity was chosen by pupil Mia Wagenstein, who worked at a St Michael’s Hospice charity shop over the summer holidays.
St Michael’s is a leading provider of the highest quality palliative care throughout north Hampshire offering a choice and understanding of complex end-of life care.
