Waverley's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A3, from 8pm June 3 to 6am June 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

A3, from 8pm June 7 to 6am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Lower Eashing, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 9pm June 7 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

A3, from 8pm June 17 to 6am June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Thursley, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
