Waverley's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M3, from 9pm October 30 to 6am October 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 5, slip road and hard shoulder closure for maintenance work.

• A3, from 9pm November 6 to 6am November 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Milford, slip road closure for electrical work.

• A3, from 9pm November 8 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Upper Hammer Lane, Slip and lane closure for barrier repairs.

• A3, from 9pm November 11 to 6am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Thursley, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
