THE congregation at Farnham Baptist Church welcomed their new senior minister Reverend Graham Culver at an induction service earlier this month.

Graham, 48, was born in Winchester and after a local education studied architecture at Cardiff University. It was during these university years that he began to sense a call to full-time ministry and subsequently trained for ministry at Spurgeon’s College in South London.

Graham has served in ministry for over 20 years with pastorates at Bethel Baptist Church, Penyrheol, South Wales, Priory Street Baptist Church, Corsham in Wiltshire and since 2009 at Grimsby Baptist Church.

He is very keen to continue to teach the good news of Jesus and see it challenge and change lives.

Graham is also looking forward to working with the other members of the ministerial staff at Farnham Baptist Church; Phil Sweeting, Dan Adams and Rachel Holton.

Graham is married to Cathy and they have two adult children. Cathy will have involvement in various areas of church life as well as working locally as a part-time occupational therapist.

Graham succeeds Rev John Ross who retired in September.
