A suspected drink or drug driver has been arrested following a serious collision in Wrecclesham that involved four vehicles and left a man needing hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a lunchtime collision on the A325 between the railway bridge and the A31 Coxbridge roundabout.
A van – which one witness reputedly saw weaving across the road beforehand – collided with a food delivery van around midday near the Yatesbury Close junction.
The food delivery van then hit two parked cars, with the driver being seriously injured and later taken to hospital.
The road was closed between the A31 and Weydon Lane junctions for around two hours with the latter quickly becoming clogged with traffic along with other routes around south Farnham.
The other driver also needed treatment with fire and ambulance crews quickly at the scene.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “One man has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
“He was taken to hospital as a precaution. The road was temporarily closed but has since fully re-opened.
