Farnham Town Running Club have held their third annual awards evening.

The members of Farnham Town Running Club met with their special guests – the Farnham town crier, the deputy mayor and representatives from Phylis Tuckwell Hospice Care – to mark the club’s achievements in 2024.

The club, which was founded in 2020, has gone from strength to strength, providing an inclusive space for people of all abilities to get involved, challenge themselves and make some new friends along the way.

Gathered in the Maltings in Farnham, the members came together for an evening of food, drink, celebration, and trying to recognise each other when not wearing their running gear.

As a fully inclusive club, the awards focused on significant achievements and some more light-hearted moments that brought joy to club members.

The award winners were: Female Rookie of the Year: Rosie Oates; Male Rookie of the Year: Chris Wake; Funniest Moment: Philip Potter; Never Give Up: Gordon Randall; Run Buddy: Sarah McGuinness; Most Improved Male: Chris Wake; Most Improved Female: Laura Bartlett; Run Leader of the Year: Sophie McGuinness; Club Member of the Year: Harvey Wickham; Contribution to the Club: Zoe Davies; Chairman’s Award for long service to the Club: Sharon Robinson.

The Farnham Town Running Club committee extended their gratitude to club sponsors Aurora Legal, Melior Wealth, Howden Insurance and The Shepherd and Flock Pub – without whom the annual awards evening would not be possible – and their members who make the club the success that it is.

The club are now focusing on making 2025 their biggest and best year yet.
