Haslemere Border Athletics Club (HBAC) members have been active in a number of races.
Steve King and Dean Kellaway took on the ever-popular Portsmouth Coastal half marathon.
The route is a multi-terrain out and back along the seafront.
First home out of the duo was Kellaway, who ran an excellent race to finish in 1:42.00 and finish eighth in his age group.
King crossed the line in 2:13.42 to finish tenth in his age group.
The duo had both had to overcome injuries in the build up to the race.
Further afield in Northumberland, Duncan Selmes took on the five-mile Tour de Humbleton trail race.
Starting at the Cheviot Centre, the route takes a steady 800ft climb up to the base of Humbleton Hill and along St Cuthbert’s Way, before a descent back down to the Cheviot Centre.
Selmes completed the five-mile course in a superb time of 33.29, securing first place and a new event record.
HBAC sent a strong team of more than 30 runners to the Southern Cross Country League race at Alice Holt Forest.
The Alice Holt Forest event was the third fixture of the 2024-25 Southern Cross Country League.
The undulating course with a mix of woodland trails, a stream crossing and an abundance of mud was certainly challenging.
This did not prevent the Haslemere runners from achieving some terrific performances.
Christina Jenkins ran an excellent race to finishing in ninth place for the ladies.
Five HBAC ladies finished in the top 20 and the ladies were rewarded for their strong performance with first place – 42 points ahead of the second-placed team.
The men’s team were brought home by Jake Pillans, who secured sixth place to give Haslemere Borders second place overall.
