DIVISION Three leaders Tilford II suffered only their second defeat of the season. Charlie Vincent and Matt Burch scored half-centuries as Blackheath II racked up 260 at The Green and Tilford, although batting consistently, were held to 198-9.
Grayswood II chalked up another win, beating second-placed Wood Street by 144 runs. Skipper Tom White (54) and Callan McIntyre (63) helped Grayswood to 246 all out and a depleted visiting side were dismissed for 102, with opener Craig Williams making a defiant 52.
Headley II were set a distant target of 289 after taking a mauling from Dogmersfield II batsmen Santosh (101), Raza (75) and Sunny (53). A shell-shocked Headley were bowled out for 79.
Kingsley could only muster 107 against Peper Harow who got the runs for the loss of six wickets, Glenn Taylor making 37.
The match between Milford and Grayshott III was played in the right spirit and reached a dramatic finish. Milford totalled 179 (Darren Bierton 44), with the very young Grayshott bowlers sharing the wickets.
Barry Owen (57) played the stand-out innings for Grayshott and things became exciting in the 42nd over when, with the visitors poised for victory on 178-7, James Maskell took two wickets in two balls. However, a wide and a single saw Grayshott squeak home.
