Badshot Lea lost 5-3 against Kingstonian in the Isthmian League South Central Division on Saturday.

Lamin Ceesay gave the Baggies’ a 22nd-minute lead, but Bradley Wilson equalised for the hosts five minutes later.

Wilson scored his second in the 37th minute, and Mitchal Gough’s stoppage-time goal gave Kingstonian a 3-1 lead at half-time.

Tristan Goodridge put the hosts 4-1 up on 51 minutes, and Eddie Simon made it 5-1 in the 63rd minute.

New signing Jack Timberlake, who has joined the Baggies on a dual-registration basis from National League South outfit Slough Town, pulled a goal back in the 79th minute, and Las Traore made it 5-3 on 90 minutes.

“We made mistakes which cost us goals,” said Baggies manager Gavin Smith.

“In the second half we had enough chances to get something from the game, although when you concede five goals you probably don’t deserve a point.

“We’re scoring goals, but we need to tighten up at the back.”

Next up for the Baggies is a home game against Binfield in the Isthmian League South Central Division on Saturday (3pm).

Alton won 1-0 against Balham in the Combined Counties Premier Division South on Saturday.

Sam Bartlett’s 40th-minute goal gave the Brewers the three points.

Alton were also in league action last Tuesday night (October 1), when they lost 2-0 at Cobham.

Alton will host AFC Whyteleafe in the Combined Counties Premier Division South on Saturday (3pm).

Alton’s Anstey Park Enclosure ground will also host the game between the Farnham & District Sunday Veterans League over-60s and Worcester over-60s on Sunday (2pm).
