The game burst into life from the first whistle, with Woking immediately testing Shots keeper Taylor Goodrich, who responded with a series of impressive saves.
Despite Woking's high press, the Aldershot defence showed composure, consistently finding ways to break through. However, the home side's persistence paid off when they capitalised on a scramble in the D to open the scoring.
The Shots showed glimpses of their attacking prowess, with Tammy Cherry making a dangerous baseline run that Woking's defence had to work hard to clear.
Drama unfolded when Phoebe Bryant bravely took a misjudged Woking hit to the stomach.
Woking doubled their advantage from a short corner before the half-time whistle.
The second half saw a rejuvenated Aldershot side emerge with renewed determination.
Tasmin Urquhart and Fiona Stewart combined well on the left flank to evade Woking's press, while Hannah Wrench proved a crucial disruptor in the middle, repeatedly breaking up Woking's attacking plays.
The Shots' persistence paid off when a slick move down the left saw Stewart showcase her skills before finding Cherry on the right. Though Woking initially disrupted the play Cherry regained possession at the top of the D and unleashed an early strike that found the back of the net, bringing the score to 2-1.
The momentum continued to be with the Shots, with Bryant finding space to launch forwards into Woking's 25, and Sophie Edwards making an excellent tactical run that drew defenders into the corner before releasing Cherry on the baseline, earning the Shots a short corner.
However, Woking then restored their two-goal cushion. This proved to be a turning point, taking the wind out of Aldershot's sails after a period of dominance.
Woking added two goals in the final ten minutes to run out 5-1 winners.
